DESCRIPTION
The Florida Space Orbiters welcome new members. We currently have 30 members, most of whom live in the central east coast area near the Kennedy Space Center. We meet monthly, September thru May` normally on week ends, with about 15 members attending. Our interests are social, eating, shopping, crafts and cards. Initiation fee is $25 which includes badges; dues are $10 per year thereafter. A newsletter is published monthly. Typically, Friday night is a potluck preceded by a social hour, Saturday breakfast is prepared by the hosts, a short business meeting is held prior to the social hour Saturday afternoon, dinner is up to the hosts – or they may decide we will eat at a local restaurant (Dutch Treat) – Sunday breakfast is usually Continental. Our chapter thinks of itself as being outgoing, friendly, mostly retired folks who enjoy just relaxing and the simple pleasure of camaraderie.
